Services offered by Goddards
We are a local shop serving a local community, so there are unfortunately limits to how far we travel to make deliveries (normally 20-30 miles max would be a good guide, longer journeys by arrangement). That said, we recognise that our customers lead busy lives and pride ourselves on the reliable – and flexible – delivery, installation and disposal service that we offer. FREE Delivery
All large items purchased from Goddards Electrical qualify for free local delivery.
Installation
With the exception of built-in or gas appliances, which require specialist technicians to carry out the installation, we are able to install all products delivered by Goddards Electrical for a small additional charge. Installation is carried out at the time of delivery unless advised at the time of sale.
Disposal of old appliance
For a small additional charge, your old appliance can be removed from your home and disposed of reponsibly by Goddards Electrical. To minimise the inconvenience to our customers, disposal of the old appliance takes place at the time of delivery.
Repairs
On the rare occasions when a product fails to work and is out of warranty, Goddards Electrical can advise on skilled technicians to carry out the necessary repairs. We understand that the cost of repairs is often prohibitively high, so we offer this referral-only method (with no Goddards Electrical mark-up or commission) to keep the cost as low as possible for our customers.
Important information and additional services
Repairs under warranty
The modern manufacturing process extends well beyond the product sale and all manufacturers assume responsibility for repairs that fall within the warranty period. Goddards Electrical are happy to advise on the action you need to take and provide manufacturer contact information, if it has got mislaid or lost. It is important to maintain this manufacturer link because all guarantees require it. Many new products are offered with optional extended warranties that are operated by the manufacturer, or their agents, in the same way.
Aerials and transmitters
Goddards Electrical can recommend local companies to carry out aerial and transmitter installations.
Special requirements
Goddards Electrical aim to offer a complete service. If you have specific delivery requirements, i.e., one delivery for the new freezer and one collection of the old appliance when the food has been transferred, we are happy to offer an additional trip at a small extra charge.
